A cartographer is a character who specializes in the creation of maps. This could include making physical maps of geographical areas, mapping out underground cave systems or dungeons, or even creating celestial charts of the stars. Cartographers may work independently, or they may be employed by governments, organizations, or private individuals to create maps for a variety of purposes.
